1623
François Le Vaillant receives from the hands of Catherine de Clèves, Duchess of Guise and Countess of Eu, letters patent authorizing him to establish a glassworks in the low forest of Eu, between La Haye de Guimerville and Sénarpont, at a place called Le Courval .
1853
In 1853, the Courval glassworks produced their first bottle designed by a perfumer. This is Guerlain Imperial Cologne, dedicated to Empress Eugenie. Le Courval achieves a technical feat with this exclusive and prestigious bottle, which will be sold in a limited edition.
1883
In Paris, the earthenware maker Pierre Deroche founded the Maison Deroche in 1783, specializing in the painting of porcelain objects, then in the finishing of glass objects. It quickly approached the Courval glassworks. In 1883, after the marriage of Jean-Baptiste Pochet to Estelle Deroche, Maison Deroche became Maison Pochet. The factory is set up at 121 Quai de Valmy, in Paris.
1919
In 1919, Charles Colonna de Giovellina, flying lieutenant, married the heir to Maison Pochet and took over the company. His brother Marcel quickly joined him. The Colonna brothers actively developed the Courval glassworks in which Maison Pochet, already a shareholder, bought all of the shares in 1934, and renamed it “Verreries Pochet et du Courval”.
1971
In 1971, the Group made the daring bet of modernity under the leadership of Charles’s two sons, Henri and Jean Colonna de Giovellina, who would devote their lives to the modernization and development of the family business. A factory to fully automate the bottle manufacturing processes is built on the Guimerville site, a few kilometers from the historic Courval site. The investment made represents one year of turnover.
1983
When he joined the Group in 1983, Gabriel Colonna de Giovellina already had a solid professional experience outside the family company. He will be its CEO from 1987 to 2008 and will be the man of continuity, diversification and development.
1987
Already commercially present in the United States since the end of the 1960s, Pochet strengthened its presence in the United States, a then growing market, by creating a subsidiary in Wayne, New Jersey, dedicated to marketing and finishing. bottles produced in France.
1991
Pochet creates the company Qualipac, dedicated to cosmetic packaging, in a joint venture with Sommer-Alibert. The Qualipac pole is strengthened by acquisitions and creations on French territory: Auriplast, LMA, Priminter, Qualiform. In 2004, Pochet became a 100% shareholder of the Qualipac Group.
2002
At the same time, Qualipac is pursuing its strategy of establishing an international presence. In 2002, the Pole joined Qualipac China. In 2008, the Qualimétal company was created in China, in Huizhou. In 2009, Qualipac bought the Brazilian company IPEL, located in Sao Paulo.
2011
The Pochet Group makes two new acquisitions. Lisi Cosmetics joins Qualipac and becomes Qualicosmetics. The Group also acquires the company SOLEV, which specializes in particular in vacuum metallization techniques.
2015
The Pochet Group is expanding internationally and is inaugurating a new Plastics Processing site in Shanghai, China.

The Pochet Group opens its doors and brings together its teams in a single place.
Responsible in design and operation, MAISON POCHET is close to its customers, it concentrates audacity, a spirit of innovation and adaptation which are the strength of the Group, and make its reputation on the world market.
2016
The Group is expanding its Plastics Division in Brazil and moving to a larger site in Jundiaí.
2020
Pochet du Courval and Qualipac obtain the Platinum level with EcoVadis and are placed in the World Top 1% of the most efficient companies in terms of Social and Environmental Responsibility.
